Touring with The Peep Tempel

In August 2012, I jetted out of Melbourne to Paris with The Peep Tempel.

This was my first International band tour coverage. Whatever I do next, if I never get to do this again (tour gigs are a rarity in this day and age), I’ll forever feel privileged to have been along for The Peep Tempel’s inaugural International ride.

The band and I started off in France before heading across the border to Switzerland then Germany and Holland then back to Switzerland and France.

It’s a big thing for a band to live in each others pockets for six weeks, it’s bigger again to have employees fixed  to the background for most of that time, so a big thanks to the lads for having me along. Thanks also to all the friends and family of the band who generously accommodated me with the same affection that the boys had earned over the years, particularly the Vanni family, Chris, and to Veerle Slegers for letting us sleep on your couches and in spare rooms. Thank-you to Wing Sing label owner (and surrogate band manager) Adam and partner Ekka. And thanks to the new stray friends we met along the way.

These photos are the tour as I remember it and and the moments that stick in my memory. The Peep Tempel may have a different recollection.
